📖 Course Objective ⚖️ Application Requirements
Course Objective：
Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, this programme harnesses the power of human-horse interaction to support children and young people with special educational needs. It enables participants with special educational needs to build trust and meaningful connections with horses in a safe and supportive environment through observation, grooming, feeding and other daily care activities. Horses’ acute sensitivity serves as an important bridge for non-verbal communication, helping participants develop greater emotional awareness, express their feelings, and cultivate empathy and a sense of responsibility.
Under the guidance of professional instructors, participants engage in progressive human-horse interaction experiences that enhance self-regulation, concentration and social skills, while building self-confidence and problem-solving abilities. The programme promotes holistic physical and emotional development and supports participants in applying these skills to their daily lives and learning.
Course Duration：
Approximately 6 – 7 weeks, 1 lesson per week (approximately 45 minutes per lesson).
Instructor Team：
Support volunteers will be arranged by the instructor according to operational needs.
