In April 2024 RDA welcomed back Mary Longden, a renowned equestrian coach. She was born in the UK but has travelled all over the world and now lives in
Australia.
Mary provided valuable training for the RDA’s team of volunteer horse leaders and side helpers. She emphasized the importance of clear communication, anticipating a riders needs and maintaining a positive, encouraging environment.
In addition to her work with the ponies and volunteers, Mary has been helping RDA update its instructional syllabus and training program, contributing her expertise as RDA works to evolve its curriculum.
RDA is very lucky to be able to benefit from Mary’s vast experience. RDA looks forward to welcoming Mary back in early October to continue her valuable training of volunteers and ponies.
