On Sunday 13th May more than 6000 visitors flocked to The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Tuen Mun Public Riding School for their annual Open Day. HKJC provided a variety of interesting activities which included pony rides, stable visits, game booths and a bouncy castle which as always proved to be very popular. Additionally, a demonstration was put on by the HKJC Para Equestrian Team.

Riding for the Disable Association (RDA) prepared a Rehab Parade which included riders and volunteers from both Pok Fu Lam and Tuen Mun. RDA also arranged photo taking sessions with the mini ponies and charity sales booth with a selection of ice cream, drinks and snacks. Altogether the event raised more than HK$53,000 and the net donation was HK$45,000. All proceeds from the stalls will go to RDA as a donation.

We would like to thank Swire Beverages Ltd for sponsorship of all the drinks for the drink charity sales booth and Deutsche Bank AG for providing an enthusiastic volunteer team for the fund raising events. In addition, our heartful thanks to all the RDA committee members, staff, volunteers, riders and their families who contributed their time and effort to make this a truly successful day.
